Lehmann Maupin Gallery is looking to expand its presence in Southeast Asia. It has therefore appointed Ken Tan, an art consultant from Singapore, to head up its expansion at the beginning of 2023.
Ken Tan was the director of programming and production for the Singapore International Arts Festival and the Singapore Writers Festival. He was also Director of the Asia Society Museum in New York and curated exhibitions internationally. He became director of Marc Straus Gallery in New York in 2015 and was also responsible for expanding its presence in Asia.
Based in New York, Lehmann Maupin has branches in Palm Beach, London, Seoul and Hong Kong. Ken Tan will be able to bring his fifteen years of experience in the contemporary art world to the gallery by handling client relations and seeking new opportunities for the artists represented.
