New building for Quimper auction room

Quimper, 6 September 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA). On the Ouestfrance-Entreprises.fr website, the couple of auctioneers who built a new building for the Quimper auction room stated, “The market does not look bad. The crisis has not struck here yet”. According to them, this new building is larger and better adapted for audiences. The concerned market is the auction market in which William Jaouen has invested. Co-manager of Quimper Enchères with his wife Nadine, auctioneer, has organised between 25 and 30 annual auctions since 2003, the year during which he settled in Quimper. Thanks to the increasing turnover, Quimper Enchères is working out his own 600 m2 building (compared to the current 450 m2 surface). William Jaouen added: “I do not take advantage of people’s misery; we do not carry out compulsory liquidations but relocations, auctions of collections, and inheritance”. This new investment has two aims he explained: “To have space and especially to be better adapted for welcoming audiences and disabled people.” Their principle: carrying out thematic auctions. 30th anniversary of Patrick Gaultier Gallery

Paris, 7 December 2011, Art Media Agency (AMA). The team of the Patrick Gaultier gallery in Quimper will invade Jourdain, in Paris, to celebrate the gallery’s 30th anniversary from 9 to 19 December. Visitors can discover a world constantly in motion, depicted by the various artists of the gallery. The anniversary exhibition aims to reach all the sensory perceptions of viewers, through light plays, polymorphic volumes and new trends using the media, which has been extremely popular in recent years. Among the fifteen represented artists, Chantal Royant’s sculptures, André-Pierre Arnal’s free paintings and Degottex’s lyrical abstraction will fascinate the art amateurs seeking for innovations.
