Sale of books and manusripts at Gros & Delettrez

Paris, 23 February 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA). Auctioneers Gros and Delettrez will be putting on a sale of books and manuscripts at the Drouot-Richelieu hotel on the 29 February 2012 starting at 2pm. In total 309 lots will be put up for sale. The first 100 will include books and manuscripts, modern drawings, posters, photographs, religious images, calanders and greetings cards created by various artists. Following this will be a series of autographs by marshalls of the French Empire, Empress Joséphine, Louis XVI, the King of Rome, the anarchist Jean Grave, figures from the 19eth et 20th centuries, the Bourbon-Condé family, as well as of thinkers, philosophers, docotrs, explorers, political figures, writers and poets. The Gazette-Drouot has announced that several dozen lots are expected to sell for between €500 and €2,000. However, several pieces are expected to go for in the region of €3,000 to €6,000. Luxurious objects on auction at Gros & Delettrez

Paris, 23 November 2011, Art Media Agency (AMA). The Gros & Delettrez auction society will organise, from 19 to 21 December in Paris, an exceptional auction of luxurious objects at Hôtel Drouot. Over 700 lots will be displayed, including the most important trademarks of haute couture, along with fashion accessories, fine jewellery, silverware, watches and pens. The first day of the auction will be dedicated to haute couture. A brown crocodile Kelly sac by Hermès (€14,000-16,000) will be displayed, along with a designer chinchilla Borbonese coat, and a black crocodile coat. The session will also comprise numerous fashion accessories and travel goods, as well as handbags and attaché cases from leading brands: Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Dior, Hermès, Pierre Balmain, etc. The second session of the auction on 20 December, will be dedicated to fine jewellery and silverware. A Panthère ring by Cartier all set with diamonds, an onyx nose and emerald eyes (€20,000-22,000) will be presented, as well as a Chanel ring in white gold with an exquisite oval sapphire (€15,000-20,000). The session on 21 December will display 200 watches, pens and cufflinks. The star lot will be a platinum wristwatch by François-Paul Journe, estimated at €70,000-75,000.
