Creation of the MoCA Yinchuan Biennale

The first edition of the MoCA Yinchuan Biennale in China will be taking place from 9 September to 18 December 2016. Titled “For an Image, Faster Than Light”, the event will gather over 80 artists from all over the world. The highly anticipated first edition of this new biennale organised in Yinchuan will be hosting great contemporary artists including Abigail Reynolds (winner of the BMW Art Journey), Ai Weiwei, Anish Kapoor, Hicham Berrada, Ivan Navarro, Liu Wei and Robert Montgomery. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale will take place in 2012-2013

Delhi, 8 February 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA). Administrators of the Kochi Biennale Foundation announced the opening dates of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, due to take place in Delhi in 2012. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale will start on 12 December 2012 and will end on 3 march 2013. Bose Krishnamachari, co-founder of the foundation and co-administrator of the first edition of the biennial, stated at the event organised on 28 January in Delhi, that over 80 artists will be invited to participate in the Kochi-Muziris biennial 2012. “We have begun discussions with Indian and international artists about working together on new commissions for the Biennale. Artists invited by the Kochi-Muziris Biennale include: Alfredo Jaar, Amar Kanwar, Atul Dodiya, Bani Abidi, Fiona Tan, Gitanjali Rao, Kiran Subbaiah, Ranbir Kaleka, Rohini Devasher, Shreyas Karle, Srinivasa Prasad, Subodh Gupta, Surendran Nair, Tallur L.N., Wangechi Mutu, Zakir Hussain”, he explained.
