“Time Machine” is to present a selection of more than twenty of the artist’s sculptures, several of which are recent works never before exhibited in the UK. Her large-scale sculptures of vehicles, such as Lilicoptère (2012), War Games (2011) and www.fatimashop (2002), are to be on display in the museum. The exhibition also promises to showcase an innovative new work created specifically for the gallery, entitled Britannia (2014).
Joana Vasconcelos is a Portuguese artist, born in 1971. In 2005 she created a stir at the Venice Biennale with her sculpture La Fiancée, with which she was representing Portugal.
