The Sydney Contemporary Art Fair, which is to run from 20 to 22 September at Carriageworks, Redfern, has announced the details of an expanded list of participants for its inaugural edition.
Participating institutions include: the Whitestone Gallery, Tokyo; Tristian Koenig, Melbourne; Tim Klingender Fine Art, Sydney; the Art Plural Gallery, Singapore; Murray White Room, Melbourne; Martin Browne Contemporary, Sydney; and the Ivan Anthony Gallery, Auckland. Two curatorial partnerships have also been launched in collaboration with Sydney’s non-profit 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and Artspace, each of which is to present an exhibition during the event.
The fair is also to include appearances from guest speakers, who have now been identified as John Kaldor from Kaldor Public Art Projects, architect Nick Tobias, Art Fair Director Barry Keldoulis, chef Kylie Kwong, arts writer Andrew Frost, as well as artists including Del Kathryn Barton and Island 6.
