Madrid, 5 December 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA).
Born in Madrid where he lives and works, Pablo Pro, director of photography, photographer and camera operator, will be presenting his work “Oxygeme” at the Galeria Rita Castellanote in Madrid. The exhibition begins on 7 February 2013 and will last until 12 March 2013.
Art as well as science and philosophy can inquire into the origins of man, language etc, but of the three the first one will be more respectful towards Myth. The photographs gathered in this exhibition are an unprejudiced immersion into the initial origin, an origin that even precedes the myth. This is what his pictures, illustrating something as anecdotal as people under water offer an immersion allowing to see that every image has a powerful and delicate poetic, expressing feelings of harmony, tearing, pain, surprise, distress, fear and helplessness.
Pablo Pro graduated from U.C.L.A., Los Angeles with a degree in Cinematography in 1993. For the following 8 years he worked in the film industry and lived between Los Angeles and New York. He specialises both in nature as well as social oriented documentaries working on various projects for National Geographic, BBC, Canal Plus France and Discovery Channel. Since his return to Spain he has worked as a camera operator for various productions.
