Pittsburgh, 24 October 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA).
The Andy Warhol Museum announced the appointment of Kilolo Luckett as its new director of development, since 15 October 2012. Until then, Kilolo Luckett was director of “Designate”, a project management and fundraising consulting services company for artists and other non-profit organisations.
The museum’s press release adds Kilolo Luckett worked for the Kingsley Association (help for children, youth and families), East End Partnership (developing a more livable community in Pittsburgh) and for the Pittsburgh Micro-Loan Fund. As a project consultant for Heinz Endowments and the Pittsburgh Foundation from 2001 to 2002, Luckett had the opportunity to value many artists and artistic organisations of all sizes. She also is a keen defender of educational equality in the Pittsburgh region, and notably offered her consultant services to the programme “Girls As Grantmakers”.
She studied at the University of Pittsburgh where she earned a degree in history of art and architecture. Considered by Whirl Magazine an icon of revival, she is a leader of social and cultural change now happening in Pittsburgh and its surroundings. Kilolo Luckett, winner of “Women in the Material World”, seems gifted with every quality needed to hold the development of the Andy Warhol Museum.
