Over 500 pearl, ruby and diamond jewellery pieces by Van Cleef & Arpels are being exhibited at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris through 10 February 2013. These precious objects are dated from 1906, when the Cleef and Arpels families established their entreprise. Since then they got inceasingly inspired in different countries but also inserted various innovations. In 2000, the company was taken over by Richemont Group and has continued ever since to evidence its creativity, notably with the collections Atlantide (2007) or Palais de la Chance (2012).
Currently the Museum of Decorative Arts is presenting pieces more than 100 years old, as well as mysterious masterpieces, owned by Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor and other celebrities and royalties. Alongside, ancient documents, drawings and designs will be presented to the public.
