Paris, 18 September 2012. Art Media Agency (AMA).

For its second time at the Biennale des Antiquaires (Antiques Biennial), opened on 13 September, Tornabuoni Art chose to present ten historically museal works (by Boccioni, Picasso, Sironi, Morandi, Kandinsky, Marini, Fontana, Boetti, Basquiat and Pomodoro).

This network specialised in the second part of the 20th century Italian art very strategically chose to meet collectors on fairs, as here in Paris, at the Antiques Biennial. Tornabuoni Art often takes part in international fairs such as the FIAC, the TEFAF in Maastricht, Art Basel Miami, Art Hong Kong, Artefiera in Bologna or MiArt in Milan.

The Tornabuoni Art Gallery inaugurated its Paris space on 1 October 2009 with an acclaimed exhibition of its star artist Lucio Fontana, followed by a retrospective of Alighiero Boetti in the spring 2010. The gallery’s cultural approach is to organise great retrospectives of major postwar Italian artists, punctuated with exhibitions of various major international artists.

Mainly specialised in the Italian art of the second part of the 20th century, the gallery permanently presents main works of the “Novecento” major artists: De Chirico, Morandi, Balla, Severini, and international artists of the 20th century avant-garde:  Picasso, Mirò, Kandinsky, Hartung, Poliakoff, Dubuffet, Lam, Matta, Christo, Warhol, Wesselmann, Basquiat.
