Taiwan, 5 July 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA).

Taking place from 7 July to 4 August 2012, the exhibition “Evolution of Art Duplicates: The Exhibition of Taiwanese Contemporary Print Art” at the Powen Gallery & Moons Art Galleryin Taiwan invites Yu Chang Chia-Wei Hsu, Chun-Yuan Huang, Tek-Khean Lee, Yi-Lung Lin, Chia-Hao Yeh, and Yow Chee-Hoe around some of their creations which have been re-imprinted more than once. These artists are less famous precisely because their works are re-appropriations. Consequently, they are not considered as artists whose works truly evolve. Printing is nonetheless an important medium in creation, even if it remains unusual for a finished work. This exhibition aims at remedying this prejudice by displaying these artists’ creations and at establishing this technique in Taiwanese everyday life, atmosphere and culture.
