Singapore, 20 March 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA).
The Taksu Gallery will organise a collective exhibition from 5 to 26 April 2012.
The exhibition will bring together the works by seven Filipino artists: Bernardo Pacquing, Cris Villanueva Jr., Elaine Navas, Hubert San Juan, Juan Alcazaren, Lyle Buencamino, and Nilo Ilarde.
“No Talking Points” is the result of the artistic compulsion linking the artists together. It drives them to make works which transcend the “insoluble tension between verbal and visual speeches”, as explained by the press release.
The artists all work individually during the “silences” between the different negotiations taking place between the artists creating conditions and the public. Altogether, they celebrate the emptiness which occurs between ideas.
Founded in 1989, The Taksu Gallery is one of the most important contemporary galleries of Southeastern Asia.
