ProjecteSD Gallery in Barcelona is currently presenting until 12 November, an exhibition dedicated to artist Korenraad Dedobbleleer. This exhibition entitled “Good Plans are made by hand” is the artist’s second show taking place in this gallery.
The Belgian artist, born in 1975, observes urban reality in a subjective way within his work, and then adapts objects and forms from his daily environment. Indeed, spectators can recognize at first sight, objects in the artist’s creations, such as bulbs, chairs or tables. However, his works are fine representations of “ready-made” objects taken from the real world in order to manipulate them. He seeks to make spectators think about objects’ position and influence the way they appreciate them in the hermetic space of the gallery or museum.
The demonstration is displaying Dedobbleleer’s latest creations, in which he used sculpture as an information and souvenirs support with sense and signification.
