London, 26 September 2011, Art Media Agency (AMA).
For its fifth edition, the Pavilion of Art & Design (PAD) of London will take place from 12 to 16 October — at the same time as Frieze Art Fair — at Berkeley Square. The event has been put together by Patrick Perrin and Stéphane Custot who, in 2007, ten years following the first edition of the Parisian event, dedicided to export it to the English capital.
The fair’s website announces 57 exhibitors from Europe, Asia and North America, all of whom have been selected by the PAD committee. Modern art, design, art deco, photography and tribal art from 1860 are all on the agenda.
Moët Hennessy is the event’s main sponsor and will once again organise the Pavilion of Art & Design London Prize, which aims to offer an exhibited artwork the chance of entering the V&A’s collections. The work will be selected by a jury composed of various art and design personnalities, including Zaha Hadid, Jasper Conran, David Collins, Ton Dixon, Allegra Hicks, Karla Otto and Bella Freud.
