Galerie Richard (New York) is representing two US artists: Scott Anderson and Jeremy Thomas.
Galerie Richard is representing Scott Anderson in Europe; the gallery organised this artist’s first European exhibition in 2004. Scott Anderson was born in 1973 in Urbana, Illinois. His work consists in figurative paintings that defy our understanding of the visual. A major exhibition is being scheduled at the Nerman Museum (NMoCA) in Overland, Kansas from 23 June to 25 September 2016. Jeremy Thomas is represented in galleries in New York and Paris. Born in Mount Vernon, Ohio in 1973, Jeremy Thomas lives and works in New Mexico. Constantly on the lookout for new procedures, such as injecting air into steel heated to 2,000°C, he explores a universe of spontaneous, abstract and organic three-dimensional forms. He had his first solo exhibition in New York this year.
Through these two representations, Galerie Richard further reveals its ambitions to develop on US soil.
